I did get up this morning. I did hit the gym. Today was cardio followed by weights. I did okay at weights, actually, for someone who hasn't done any exercise at all in a fortnight. I did have to drop 5lbs from my starting weight for the hammer curl to shoulder press, but I also upped my weight by 2.5lbs for the dumbbell pullover, and I will probably be able to get it up another 2.5 before the month is out. I'll probably be able to go up 10lbs for the single-arm row and twist, too. I expect that 5lb drop will be reversed in a couple of weeks, in any case.
Here are some weird things I've found out. Running on a treadmill does weird things to my balance. I stepped off the treadmill unable to walk a straight line. I think the problem was that I was running, but the scenery wasn't moving. The feeling is a bit like when you step off a boat you've been on for a few days and suddenly that land holds firm and isn't rocking, and your brain can't handle it. It took a while for me to walk straight again. It was so weird. Does anyone else have that issue?
Also, the fastest way to fall off a treadmill is to drop your phone on it, and then step on said phone.
I've had a morning.
Also, my left arm is in a bad way, strength-wise. The triceps in particular are not great. It was my left arm that let me down during the hammer curl to shoulder press, and they were strained during the dumbbell pullovers, too. I'm hoping that it'll catch up quickly to my right without getting damaged.
Ugh, exercise talk is dull, isn't it? The thing is, I don't have anything exciting to talk about at the moment. I mean, I streamed last night, and it was great fun. I got a couple of jump scares, which made me scream, and then laugh. But that's really about it..
I lead an exciting life, guys.
So, I'm off to continue reading through Soldier and making notes.
Have a good weekend. I'll be back Monday.
Ciao!
