First, it snowed yesterday, and all the world was blanketed in a thin layer of beautiful white as I walked to the train station this morning. It was absolutely beautiful. I adore the snow, and was getting worried that it was going to be a brown Christmas this year. It might still be, but I'm thrilled with having a day of beautiful snow yesterday.
Now, either because of the snow, or because of the crane down the road, we had a blackout at work yesterday. I was just finishing up lunch when the power went out. The boss man checked the Hydro Ottawa site for a reason for the power outage. They had none, and they noted that the power would be brought back probably at 4:30pm. Well, that's the rest of the day, pretty much, so I was sent home early.
A pretty sweet deal - lunch break and then immediately home time.
It was also pretty funny in the office. One of the blokes wandered around, singing, "BoooooooOOOOOooooo!" I had a good giggle. Also, should've thought of that myself. Damn.
So, I arrived home early, confused the fuck out of Galahad, who was asleep on my pillow, after which he followed me around meowing, and then made himself a pest but sitting in front of the computer, stepping all over my keyboard, head-butting my face while I tried to write this very blog.
Oh great. He just knocked off my mouse. Nice, Galahad.
Anyway, it's annoying and also cute as hell, so I can't get mad at him. Also, he held my hand a lot last night - pretty much every time I put my hand on my mouse.
Anyway, this blog isn't really about anything in particular. Just some stuff that happened. I'm still waiting on my iPad, so I can't give you any updates on my writing. I'm currently trying to make my Xmas gifts, so there will be art updates in the new year, but that's a ways away yet.
So for now, you just get me talking about snow and my cat.
Happy Thursday everyone. I shall be live-streaming tomorrow night, but as usual, there won't be a blog Friday morning.
Hope to see you on my stream. For now, though:
Ciao!
