Anyway, the song I'm currently obsessed with right now is Mademoiselle Hyde (lyrics by Lara Fabian, sung by Dimash and arranged by Igor Krutoy (who is also accompanying Dimash on the piano)). Since I have nothing else to offer you this morning, have a listen.
Share my thoughts if you will and guide me through
I am the kind of mind who's torn in two
Dr. Jackal or Hyde which one, just choose
Whichever one you pick you will still lose.
I'll be yours
And when you'll have me you'll be cursed
Because you love me
I've rehearsed
Every word of the scene
Don't approach me
Don't touch my skin
I will burn you alive
I've regretted
Though I hate it
I am Mr. Hyde
I swear I always try to stop the game
When it's goodness I play I get check-mate
When I am just about to beat the beast
Its half a nature I fight that I release
Hold me tight -
Maybe this time I'll escape
The darker of us - if you dare
I'm ready to surrender
Now approach me
Now touch my skin
I will keep you alive
I've regretted
Though I hate it
I am Mr. Hyde
Don't approach me
Don't touch my skin
I will burn you alive
You approached me
You touched my skin
Now you're Mademoiselle Hyde
Those of you familiar with Dimash probably know him for his incredible six-octave range, insane vocal flexibility and flawless technique. This song doesn't really have much of the crazier stuff, other than his higher register, and yet it is still utterly captivating. I've been listening to it on repeat for a long while now.
Right, I'm off to write... or, you know, daydream. Same thing, really.
Ciao!
