Ahem...
So, things on my end are going well, actually. Yesterday I managed to get four thousand words out on The Third Prince. I am now back on track after my inability to focus properly on Monday. Good. I am also almost exactly one fifth of the way through this manuscript. Yay!
Despite the fact that I cry a lot writing this thing (I have the unique advantage of knowing what becomes of these characters, you see), I'm really enjoying this write. The words are flowing. It's not a fight. Thank heavens. It might become one later on, but for now, it's good.
I can't wait to get back to writing.
Speaking of writing, Human is receiving some pretty high praise. The winner of the Goodreads.com give away I had run back when the book was launched had some pretty lovely things to say about the book. You can read that review here. It put me in such a good mood yesterday. Yay! People are liking my stuff!
My painting is coming along slowly. I managed to put one of my cats in the painting yesterday. It took me the entire time I had set aside for painting to get her in. I have a couple of things to change about the patterning on her coat, but she's otherwise almost perfect. Persephone would be flattered if she gave a damn. I painted her looking almost regal, and far slimmer than she actually is.
I plan on also painting in our other cat, Galahad, but that will have to wait a bit, as I plan to paint him lying on a stack of stuff... and that stack needs painting first. That's the project for the rest of this week: paint the stack of stuff. As usual, I will be posting a picture of the work in progress after Friday's painting session on my Facebook page.
On that note, I have to get started on that stack of stuff. Have a great day, all!
Ciao.
