Nearly There!

Good morning, Readers!

This owl is a whole mood.

I am nearly there! I nearly have finished combing through the physical proof of The Timbercreek Incident. It is almost ready to be available for pre-order. At least, the regular edition is. I still have a bit of writing to do for the subscriber edition. I’m also going to try for some illustrations, but I’m not sure I can do them myself yet. We’ll see.

Attention can soon turn towards the book boxes. I have a few things settled on for the items in the box. A signed book. If it’s a subscriber who has bought the box, the book will be the special edition. If there are boxes left after the exclusion period, it will be a regular edition. But, what I have planned so far:

  • The book. Obvs.
  • A mug from the Sigma Mercenary Group, as might be owned by one of the staff working in the Nest.
  • A patch from the Civilian Rescue Division.
  • Some art of the characters or creatures. And creatures? TBD.
  • A bookmark with art of the book (I’m trying to decide what art currently. I might make up a bunch of bookmark designs and make it a random selection. I don’t know yet.
  • Stickers - A couple of sheets, maybe.
  • A book-shaped locket.
  • Dog tags (probably as a key chain).

I also really want to have some small stuffed toys of Claudio to include, but finding a supplier for that is tricky. I would like to be able to afford a small run, for starters. What I don’t include in the box (there are, after all, only a few subscribers here) will be for sale as a limited edition thing.

Unless the book gets wildly popular (hah!), in which case, it might be a regular thing in the store.

There might be a lead on getting small 3D printed Claudio key chains, which is a nice alternative. But the stuffed toys is an idea I’m not quite willing to let go of just yet.

I think that’s a goodly amount of stuff. I haven’t decided on a price point yet. I’m doing research on that now. And being in Canada, it’s likely that the shipping will be prohibitive. I’m also researching a small business account with Canada Post. There are rumours of some perks that might make it absolutely worth it.

This has all taken much longer than I wanted. So I’m a bit stressed. Also quite sorry. I did mean to have something for you much sooner than this.

Thanks so much for sticking it out for me.

Now, I have a headache again, so I’m going to log off and get some time away from a screen.

Let me know if there’s something you would like included in the book box. I’m very open to suggestion!

Slán go foill!
