Welp...

Good morning, Readers!

This hare cracks me up. It's such a mood, and perfectly reflects how I feel.

This weekend just past was Easter, as most of you know. I had planned to do so much over the weekend (largely Friday), but it turns out... I'm exhausted. Annoyingly.

I set my alarm for the usual time on Friday, hoping that I could get up and get a start on the project of the day - clear out and arrange my studio so I can start to work on my art on the free evenings I have at home. You can probably tell that it did not happen.

The alarm went off. I awoke and, still feeling a bit sleepy, figured I could close my eyes for another hour or so and not lose the day.

Reader, I awoke nearly five hours later.

I must have needed the sleep, because I did not feel disorientated or groggy when I woke. I did feel very annoyed, and behind, and stuck. With the day half gone, my idiot brain decided that I'd get nothing done Friday at all. So I got nothing done Friday.

I promised myself I'd at least get some of it done Saturday. That didn't happen. Saturday, I arrived home from teaching martial arts and promptly fell asleep on the couch until hunger roused me at dinner time.

So surely Sunday, right? Well, no. It was Easter, which means family all day (which is a delight, don't get me wrong!).

Nothing got done this weekend. Nothing. I am more than a little miffed at myself currently. Oh well. There's nothing for it. I have a lot to do as it is, and I really should be taking rest more seriously. I keep hoping that there will be a light at the end of the hustle tunnel, but every time I just seem to take more and more on. I've got to get it together, darn it!

Anyway, all this to say that this weekend was pretty good, my frustrations aside, and I did end up more rested that I otherwise would. That's not nothing. Clearly I needed that long sleep Friday morning/early afternoon. I am still behind this week, but I'm getting rather used to that.

Le sigh.

Anyway, I hope those who got to have a long weekend enjoyed it, and I hope everyone else is healthy and happy. Right, I've a lot of work to do. I must dash!

Slán go foill!
