A Gentle Day

Good morning, Readers!

This is just a quick blog post to let you know that I hadn't forgotten you. Yesterday was a public holiday, and I was called away last minute to my dad's place for a day I'd relaxation and calm. I will never say no to that.

For the record, as my Ko-Fi subscribers are getting this a day early, I should probably note that they've read these words, but slightly shifted to account for the fact that they got this yesterday, the day of writing this post.

It's very muggy as I write this on the deck, under the shade of a portable gazebo. Thank goodness there is a breeze, or I'd be dying. Not for the first time, I've threatened to move to Scotland - some northern island where the average temperature in August is 13 degrees (that's Celcius for any Imperial-Unit folks out there). I don't do well the heat, and I'm already longing for snow. Don't @ me. I'm very white and a little chubby. The heat and I aren't friends.

I would split my time between here and there, I think. Spending the warmest months of summer in the cool, and returning to Canada to my regular life for the autumn until the end of spring. If I had money, of course. As I don't, I shall just have to go get myself a fan and suffer through the summers as I usually do.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, whether it was long or not, and that this week isn't too stressful for you. For now, I'll raise my glass to a relaxing day, and make a wish for many more like it.

And a home in Scotland.

Slán go foill!
