SKY ROAD WALKER

Good morning, Readers!

I almost forgot to do this, because in my head, eNewsletter subscribers and blog readers are the same thing.  Clearly, they're not.  I have far more blog readers than eNewsletter subscribers.  Anyway, because I had already announced it in the newsletter, in my brain it was like announcing it to everyone.

Not quite.

Incidentally, if you want to subscribe and be the first to know things, you can by clicking this link and filing out the form.

But to the announcements!

First of all, I have a book cover reveal to do.  Here it is:
Picture
ISN'T IT BEAUTIFUL?!
I feel like I've done this already, so forgive me if I have.  BUT OMG ISN'T IT BEAUTIFUL?!?!

Ahem...

The image may look familiar to you, because that's a painting of mine (you can find it on my Digital Art gallery *cough* *cough* *hint* *cough*).  The rest of it was designed by the always fabulous Eric Desmarais of JenEric Designs.  Eric very generously donated both his cover designing time and his formatting time to the project.  I cannot thank him enough for such a generous act.  This stuff isn't easy to do.  If it was, I could do it myself, but I can't.  Eric put in the smoke effect and the text and made it look so pretty and awesome and I'm kind of in love with this book cover.

If you need a cover designed or a book beautifully formatted, you must contact Eric.  You can do so here.

For those of you who don't know, Sky Road Walker was a book written with the help of you.  Maybe not specifically you, but the general you that is the readers of this blog.  Basically, II wrote a section of story every Friday for two years.  Every week, people would vote on the three actions I put at the end of each section, and the action with the most votes began the next section.

I honestly thought we'd only do it for a few months and get a nice little novella or something.

NOPE.  Two years it took.  It was totally worth it, though, because it's a great story.

Here is the back blurb:
The Seeker’s Son has taken one,
The Seeker’s Son takes two.
The Seeker’s Son takes another one,
The Seeker’s Son seeks you.

Chased by wraiths of dark smoke, without knowledge of the land in which I found myself or memory of my life and purpose, I became embroiled in a perilous quest to restore the throne of a fading Empire. Little did I know how dangerous a task that would prove to be.
This is my story; the tale of the Sky Road Walker.

Sky Road Walker is the first of the democratically created Your Very Own Adventure books by author S.M. Carrière.

Proceeds from the sale of this book will go to The Ottawa Caring and Sharing Exchange, a charity which provides relief and dignity during difficult times of the year.

Intrigued?  Like the sounds of that?

I'm pretty proud, I'm not going to lie.

Even better news, you can now pre-order the book!  Click here for your pre-order options!

SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE
  • $5.00 from every paperback sale will be going towards the charity of choice.
  • ALL proceeds from the eBook purchases will be going to the charity of choice.
  • If you pre-order at Smashwords.com, you get to set the price yourself, so if you're so inclined, you can get the book for free (I'm pretty sure there's a $0.00 option there.  Don't quote me on that).
  • If you purchase the book via other retailers, they've set the price, and I can't change that.

So... now the part that I hate.  I would very much like to get word about this book out.  The best way to do that is to get people talking about it.  If you could help me generate some word of mouth stuff for this one, I'd be really grateful.  We might be able to raise a fair amount of money for the Caring and Sharing Exchange... and that makes my heart happy.

Now I must go.

Ciao!
