What do you say?

a) Perhaps you could send the sceptre piece with us and go to the conclave, coming down to meet us afterwards? Of course, you will have to decide again if the conclave does not vote in your favour.
b) Nothing will show your dedication to the freedom of the north than being present in the fight against the Mage King. I have a feeling we will need fighters to acquire the last piece of the sceptre. Come with us and send either Fergus or Eilir to the conclave in your stead.
c) It might be easier if we all go to the conclave. With Rangers present, they might take our cause more seriously.

You open your mouth to make a suggestion.  What do you say?

a) Parting is a difficult thing to bear. Perhaps you could send a representative of yours with us instead, and neither you nor your wife would have cause to grieve.
b) We could use all the warriors we can get. The Lady Eilir is welcome to join us and both of you will be spared the grief of absence.
c) It is wise to have a regent who would rule well.  Perhaps it would be best for your people if Lady Eilir stayed.  She is clearly a wise a capable regent.

What do you say to the Chieftain?

a) Your pride will be your undoing. If the sceptre is not returned to us, your bloodline will be just as lost as the empress'.  What is your bloodline worth?
b) Seems petty, don't you think?  Are you proud of your pettiness?  Would you not rather be proud of your part in destroying the mage king once and for all?
c) Perhaps it is time to mend what was broken.  Return the sceptre piece, and restore the friendship between the empire and the north.

What do you do?

a) You reveal yourself.  Martel has warned you about northern pride and impatience, and you're fairly sure that this would go more smoothly if you just made yourself known... even if it means capture.
b) Let Martel handle this.  Though he's never actually dealt with the northern tribes, he at least knows of them, and a little bit about them.  He might be able to counter whatever this chieftain is planning.
c) Under no circumstances whatsoever will you reveal to this man who you are.  He's huge, and muscular and tattooed, and clearly very skilled in combat.  Wait... is that... is that a battleaxe you spy in the chariot?
