Anyway, Saturday was great. I went home and was immediately trapped on the couch for the rest of the afternoon beneath sleeping cats. It was a wonderful way to spend my post-training time. Listening to music and cuddling my furry murderers.
Sunday saw the arrival of a new-to-me couch. It belonged to my dad, but he's moving and no longer needs it. It's a fancy AF couch, with leg rests, and is long enough for me to lie fully down on it. It's comfy, too. I'm very pleased with my new-to-me couch.
Also over the weekend, I was struck by a new story idea that I have marked down in my ever-growing collection of stories I will need to write one day. First, though, I need to get my current story written. I've hit the slump where I am finding it nearly impossible to sit down and write. I just gotta do it, I know. Butt in chair.
But this new story is a great on. Science Fiction this time, making it only the second Science Fiction story idea I've had. The first was, of course, Skylark, which I really like. It ranks up there as one of my favourite things I've written. Maybe this one will be just as good. Maybe. We'll see.
It... uh... it doesn't end well.
Quelle suprise.
This new story idea is clawing pretty hard at my brain, so I think that maybe I'll start on it before I head over to the third book of The Great Man series. Maybe. We'll see.
For now, though, I have to return to my French lessons, which I keep dropping. Wish me luck!
Ciao!
