Stop Everything and Listen

Good morning, Readers!

Long time readers of this blog should know that music is a huge part of my life.  It's not that I play it (anymore), but it moves me like nothing else.  I have been known to be stopped in my tracks by a beautiful piece of music.  In rare cases, I will weep.

I spent a lot of time weeping this weekend, replaying a single song over and over.  It was so beautifully sung by a young man with one of the most incredible ranges I have ever heard.  I played that song, and I cried, over and over and over.

Unless you're similarly touched by music, it might be hard to understand.  If you're like me, however, you'll also cry.

Just listen to him.
After some research (with help from a friend, thanks Raeanne!), I've discovered that this young man's name is Dimash Kudaibergen.  He's from Kazakhstan, and this incredible performance was on a Chinese reality show called I Am a Singer.

The song is S.O.S. D'un Terrien en Détresse by Daniel Balavoine, a French singer-songwriter.

And this performance of it is simply fantastic.

My favourite part of the video is right at the end, on the last three words of the song, you can see  Mr. Kudaibergen smirk.  He's all like, "Yeah.  Nailed it."

And he did.

Now I have to go and do work things.  While working, I'll be listening to the song on repeat.  Hopefully, I won't be a sobbing mess.

What's a performance you saw that blew you away?  Let me know!

Ciao!

Lady! OMG!!!!!!!!!

I'm just going to mentally add more exclamation points O.O HAWT DAMN. His English at the end was amazing. His French was amazing (despite my general lack of understanding that it was even French at first). And the one guy with the hair almost convinced me I was watching a Japanese show o.O (I have no idea).

His voice is ridiculously powerful. I'm blown away.

HAWT DAMN.

Alright you can carry on with the day now.

RIGHT?! I made Dad listen to it yesterday, and he thought at first that Mr. Kudaibergen was a castrato until he talked at the end, and his voice is stupid deep!

I want this song on my phone now!
