I do not handle crowds well, so heading downtown was not even close to being an option. Instead I went to a BBQ at my aforementioned friend's place, where I gave them the above painting. It was a fantastic day, with a good group and I'm glad I went. I almost didn't. A combination of weather and my own issues threatened to keep me home.
Sometimes you really have to force yourself to face the day, but it's really worth it when you do.
I also spent a considerable amount of time gaming this weekend. It was awesome for two reasons, the first being that I got to stream Assassin's Creed Unity twice, but it also taught me that it is unlikely that I could become a professional live streamer. I mean, I love gaming, but two days for a combined seven hours of streaming fried my brain. I have mad respect for the people who do it every single day. I don't know how. I'll be sticking to my once or twice a week, I think.
The reason I streamed twice over the weekend was to make up for the fact that I won't be streaming at my usual time on Wednesday. I've got a thing with my weightlifting crew, and won't be home. The highlight reel from the first of the weekend's streams will be up tomorrow, though.
I have to edit that together today, as I won't be at work at all tomorrow. I took the day off. Because I'll be on the radio tomorrow morning. I should have announced it sooner, I guess. But yeah.
Turns out, this silly little blog, and my irritated rants on it, has reached a wider audience than I imagined, and I received an email shortly after my post on writing characters asking me if I'd come in for a chat about writing and stuff. So, yeah! That's a thing that's happening.
I'll be on the show The Passionate Friar on CKCU (93.1 FM) at 10:00am tomorrow morning. Tune in!
As usual, I'm horribly nervous. I'm really just hoping that I don't make a fool of myself. Hopefully it'll go well and things will be fine. But I'm really nervous. I plan on heading in ridiculously early, just in case.
So yeah. I think everything is caught up now. I have to get to editing videos and thence to writing.
Ciao!
