That said, it was a great long weekend!
Saturday I... read. A lot. I did other stuff, but it was minor and not worth noting.
Sunday, I continued to read. Then I took a break from reading to go on a moutaschioed adventure with friend and CEO of Renaissance Press, Caroline Frechette. We wore moustaches. No, really. We did. Seriously. Here's proof. It was fun, and we have narrowed down the location for the huge multi-author book launch (have I mentioned that before... Um... so, there's going to be a huge multi-author book launch) in October to between two places. We're currently seeking the preferences of the other authors who will be launching that night.
Book the 29th of October on your calendars! That's the date of the launch party.
Then, exhausted from too much fun and far too much thinking, I took a long nap. Followed by more reading.
I finished the book I was reading that night.
And so jumped straight onto the next book in the series and spent all of yesterday - all of it - buried in that book. The only way it could have been more perfect was if there was a thunder storm. Alas, there was not, but it was still a pretty perfect day. Incidentally, I have discovered that it takes me roughly twelve hours to read 1 100 pages. So, that's a thing.
I haven't finished that book, but I plan to today. Because I can. Because it's such a fantastic book. Which reminds me, I need to catch Goodreads up on the books I've been reading...
Anyway, so that was my weekend. It has been a really long time since I granted myself permission to just sit and read (when I wasn't ill and couldn't do much else other than lie in bed and read). I've really missed it.
*Happy Sigh*
Alright, it's back to the real world now. Back to work.
Don't forget, this weekend is Can Con. It's a fantastic convention and I will be there doing things! You should totally come!
Bye!
