Only, in typical OC Transpo style, my anticipated bus did not arrive. I waited as long as I could. And it simply did not come. So I took the other one to try a route I have never done before. Naturally, I got all turned around. You see, from Hurdman, which I almost never go to on my bus ride to work, I can take either the no. 6 or the 101. Only when I checked the travel planner, it told me to take the no. 6. I thought I read 101. So, since that came first, I jumped on. I double checked the planner, saw 6, panicked and got off the bus at the next stop, hoping a 6 would come through shortly. I then rechecked the travel planner. The 101 was fine. I could have taken that one.
Lord only knows why I panicked and jumped off. I really should trust myself more.
Anyway, I managed to make it into work only a little bit late. Actually, if I can get my act together, this is probably the faster of the two bus routes, and I should probably use it more often.
But that's an aside. As per the title of today's post, I'm back in action. I have my energy back, and while I still feel under the weather, I'm not nearly as incapacitated as I was Friday. I might be able to do stuff today.
Like work on the painting I was supposed to finish Friday. Catch up on my Welsh lessons. Write a damned book!
Now that the latest round of review solicitations are over (at least until the end of the month), I've got the time to write. I need to get back into my routine. This bouncing between things is really putting a wrench in my gears.
Daughters of Britain should have been written by now, but between actual work work, and editing other manuscripts, and trying to do the marketing for Human, I'm finding it impossible. I really need to pull my socks up. Fingers crossed that this story finishes this month. Fingers crossed!
Right, on that note, I really need to get to work. There is so much to do, it's not even funny.
Have a great day everyone.
Ciao!
