Well, I have a cold. I'm sitting at work, wearing a light jacket and wrapped up in an oversized scarf. It's not particularly cold in the office today. I'm just unwell.
I blame my delightful, if overly busy weekend. On the bright side, I've been re-certified for my CPR/First Aid, I'm in the top league in my Duolingo group (ruby, if you must know), I saw good friends I haven't seen in a while, and even managed to snag a bottle of my favourite whiskey (thank you so much, Tom!). Things are, all in all, pretty good.
Today is a horribly busy day for me. I have five agents to research and query, videos to edit together, and a post for Black Gate Magazine to write. I'm not sure what I want to write about for Black Gate yet. I think I might talk about self-publishing and going over to a traditional model. It's not specifically spec fic, though, so perhaps I might enthuse about the new Witcher trailer Netflix dropped. I don't know. I'll figure it out.
I'm also returning to my lunch hour work outs today. I dropped it during the madness last month, and I need to return. Today, since I'm not well, I might just take refuge in the sauna for the lunch hour. We'll see.
If I'm lucky, I might be able to get in some writing. I really want to get the second book in the Avalon series finished this year.
Since that's the case, I really ought to stop writing this blog post and knuckle down. I hope you're all well and had a great weekend!
