Sunday was a complete mixed bag. I got busy cleaning the house with the awesome help of the Amazing Flatmate. I have never seen the washroom so clean. It looks awesome. I am inspired, so hopefully I'll be doing more serious cleaning in the evenings this week so we can have a wonderfully spotless house. My room needs some serious attention.
I felt very accomplished yesterday morning, all before 10:00am, at which time my awesome Kung Fu brother Jon came over and we played some CoOpted: Borderlands together. It was great he could come over (many thanks to his fiancée for letting me borrow him for a couple of hours). I felt extremely accomplished, since we did pretty well that gaming session, and I was creating content for the Silver Stag Studio YouTube page.
Then, the plan was to edit together the next episode of Nights at the Round Table. Except that I couldn't get iMovie to work. I kept getting the terrible error:
iMovie cannot save changes to the library. The hard disk where your library is located may be full or unavailable or permissions may have changed. To avoid losing your work, quit iMovie.
At my wits end, I bothered my friend Tom, who helped as much as he could, even though the was working Blues Fest and we had to communicate via text.
Nothing was working.
And then I installed the latest Mac OS, and that seemed to suddenly clear everything up. It was working again. Only I had wasted so much time, I couldn't edit together the episode and had to run to my meet-up (for those who don't know, I host a meet-up every month at a local pub. Times and locations are known only to my eNewsletter subscribers). That was lovely, and I'm glad I got out of the house, and had a great chat with a good friends. I got the episode edited and uploaded just fine by midnight.
Had another friend stay over as he's helping the Amazing Flatmate's team get shit done today and he lives out of town. It was easier to have him crash at our place.
So, that was my weekend. I feel strangely well rested, despite the up and down nature of yesterday, and I'm off to get work done.
How was your weekend?
