So, the new file was uploaded to Createspace yesterday, and I see in my inbox that the file is ready for another proof. I will go through the digital proof first, to spare the expense of a physical one. If that all checks out, I can leave Human alone for a little while. Or a long while, whichever. It's not due out until October, after all.
Just in case you didn't get how grateful I am to Eric for his formatting services last time I wrote of them, I'm crediting being this prepared and this ready for launch so early to him and his skills. What used to take me weeks, and frustrated the crap out of me, I can now hand off to someone I completely trust. It saves me so much time and so much stress.
I am a happy writer.
Oh, also, the first A.R.C. (advanced reading copy, for those not in the know) has been sent off to a book blogger. They replied to my email request and said they'd be happy to add it to the list. I'm pleased and nervous all in one shot. What if they hate it?
I've also had a book blogger write back and tell me that the book was not for them, which is great, actually! I generally don't expect a response from those who are not interested, so hearing back was quite wonderful. Thanks for getting back to me blogger! It is appreciated.
Now all I have to do is wait on my cover artist and everything will be prepared.
Guys, I'm really excited about this one.
What a 180, huh? I went from really hating this book (vampires, ugh!) to being really, really excited about releasing it.
I hope people like it.
I'm nervous.
Right, I'm off to expend my nervous energy on Welsh. And then combing through the digital proof.
Ciao!
