Also, can I just say that going to the gym in March is a dream. Gone are the folks who made fitness a new year's resolution (not unusual. Most people fail this part of their resolution by mid-February, apparently). It's quieter, emptier and just really frakkin' pleasant to train in. I really like empty gyms, apparently. Too many people make me anxious.
Anyway, my trip to the gym this morning is part of a renewed effort to get and stay healthy. It coincides also with the cutting out of added sugars (fruit is okay, anything with sugar added into it is not), and the cutting of alcohol for a month (I'll be adding that back in after the month). Also I'm scrapping gluten. I cut it out a couple of years ago and felt really good, so I'm trying it again. Not cutting out carbs, mind you, just gluten. So I can still have breads and whatnot, just wheat free ones.
Returning to the gym, cutting sugar and gluten. Because if I'm going to make life changes, I'm going to do them all at once.
We'll see how it is at the end of the month. Let's hope I can stick to the sugar-free thing. It's hard. I have a terrible sweet tooth, and I've tried more than once since I successfully managed it a couple of years ago. Maybe I should keep a video log or something. Maybe that will keep me honest.
AH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH!
Ahem. Anyway.
I've finally seen Captain Marvel, and I loved it. There were some particular instances that stuck with me. I will write about it soon.
Today I'm also headed back into serious work for my Great Man series. It's Monday, so it's world building day. I will be headed to my wiki to continue to fill it in, so I can have an easy online bible to refer to when I get confused about things. Tomorrow will be spent writing the second book. I'm keen to get this book finished, because I have the second book of the Avalon series which has been screaming for attention of late. It's a much lighter, funner series that the Great Man, but the opening scenes are quite heart-wrenching.
Right, I'm off to do some work.
Ciao!
