But it could have been much, much worse.
For starters, the Amazing Flatmate, also feeling the sting of not being able to be with family yesterday, went all out on an Easter feast for brunch, including a pre-meal easter egg hunt, and we settled on the couch for good food and some old fashioned blasphemous films (Life of Brian).
I spoke to my dad over the phone, which was nice.
The day before I had finished the first episode of a project I came up with to both entertain myself with some work, and entertain my dad with the final result. I sent him the footage Saturday evening. It wasn't the best thing on the face of the planet, but I was amused. He enjoyed it? Sort of? To be honest, his girlfriend liked it more.
Have I mentioned how much I like his girlfriend?
Anyway, it keeps me amused, so I'll continue with the project and send it of to Dad's girlfriend each time I finish an episode.
No, I'm not going to tell you what it is, other than to say that other then the work I put into editing the thing, it's not really mine, so I can't and won't share it widely. Trust me that yes, it's incredibly dorky and silly, and I don't care.
Right, I think I'm going to read a story on YouTube soon, so I'll sign off here.
I hope yesterday wasn't too hard on everyone, and that today is filled with half-priced chocolate and rest and self-care.
Love you all.
Ciao!
