b) Sneaking is probably best. If done quickly and well, the sorcerer may take a long while before they realise the sceptre piece is missing.

By special request, here are the properties of each of the objects you were asked to chose between last time:
a) The Hunting Horn - calls the Hunter and his riders to you in your time of need. But beware, the Hunter is neither friend nor foe and if called unnecessarily will take your head.
b) The Bronze Sword - kills that which cannot be killed - the undead. Ordinary swords may dismember an undead, but not kill it. This sword shatters the spell that animates it.
c) The Wooden Cup - heals any wound cleaned with water from this cup; provided that the wound is on a living body. The cup cannot restore life to the dead, and has no effect whatsoever on ageing.
