I got more painting done. I went through my Welsh lessons as planned. I listened to some awesome tunes. I wrote... a lot...
Actually, I'm not sure how much I wrote, but I wrote continuously for a few hours, so it was probably enough to hit my daily mark. I'll probably have to rewrite it all, as I've seemed to have written myself into a corner. There doesn't seem to be a way out at the moment, and I need to find it. In the meantime, however, I know where the story is headed, so I can skip forward and write the last section of the book while I let my characters figure out how they get there.
Writing is weird.
In any case, I was productive yesterday, and it made me happy. I was pretty pleased with myself.
Things have been a bit rough of late, and it's rare that I feel genuinely good. Yesterday I felt genuinely good.
And in more feel good news, I want to spend some time congratulating good friend and awesome human being Eric Desmarais, who now works for fabulous Canadian publisher Five Rivers Press. He's now a part-time layout artist for them. Here is the official announcement. I love that Eric gave them a photo from Silver Stag to use!
You'll recall that I used and plan to continue to use Eric as my layout artist for Human and I had such a fantastic experience working with him. I'm so pleased he got this position, and I sincerely hopes that it leads to bigger and better things for him. Join me in congratulating him!
CONGRATULATIONS, ERIC!
I'm genuinely so happy for you right now!
Good news is awesome.
Lastly, this Buzzfeed article about Canada made me giggle. Hope you enjoy it!
I'm off to do more work.
Ciao!
