Not for the first time, nor the last, I want to punch OC Transpo in the face. Not anyone in particular. Just the whole thing. It needs to be punched in the face. I am so fed up with the buses, and I'm not even a regular commuter. Half the reason I walk is because the buses service in the nation's capital is so bloody appalling. I am reminded of this every time I attempt to bus anywhere.
Did you know you can review OC Transpo on facebook? Apparently you can. And I did. The review reads thusly:
Rubbish. This "service" is utter rubbish. Every time I decide to take the bus, I find myself infuriated. Today I arrived at the stop just after the bus. That was fine, as I was expecting another in roughly ten minutes. Twenty minutes later, a train of two buses show up - the one that was supposed to have arrived plus the one due to arrive in three minutes. I arrived to work later than if I would have had I elected to walk - and I decided against walking because I was running a little late.
This is not the first time that's happened. In fact, as it turns out, it's more the rule than the exception and I'm bloody fed up with it.
Thank you, OC Transpo for reminding me why, even when it's - 17 and blowing a gale, I would rather walk than take the poxy bus.
I want my money back.
Ahem.
If you're waiting for word about Skylark, don't fret. So am I, and I'm doing enough fretting for all of us. While I must prepare for a negative answer, I can't help but hope, and it's that little spark of hope that makes my stomach do unpleasant flips every time I get a email notification in my professional email inbox. I suppose I can take some comfort as I note on query tracker those who have submitted around the same time I have have already received rejections. So there is that. Of course, it makes me hope more, which creates more unpleasant stomach flips every time I open my email.
Alright, I have things to do... primarily attempt my Welsh again. I found yesterday difficult as I was just getting back into it after a spotty record of learning over the holidays. Hopefully it'll go better this time around. Wish me luck!
Off I go... right after I cheer myself up with the comedy stylings of the most excellent Dara Ó Briain.
Ciao!
